With telecom technology evolving at a rapid pace, business managers are having a difficult time keeping up with all the changes. Businesses are faced with having to select and implement technologies such as Voice Over IP, Web Conferencing Services, IP Based Phone Systems, traditional voice communications services, T1s, PRIs and complicated customer premise telecom equipment. Many of these technologies have evolved in just the past 3 years, thereby requiring business managers to research and implement new telecommunications technologies that will make or break their business. VoIP is here today and is a viable technology that can be deployed by many small-to-medium-businesses. Microtech-Tel sales professionals have the experience that can help you determine, if new equipment or services are the answer to bringing your business up-to-date in all areas of technology. Working with a Microtech-Tel professional will prevent unnecessary expenditures and improve the way your business communicates. We will listen to your needs and recommend what is best for your business, not what is best for ours. You will find that we listen to what your strategic business goals are and can help you reach these goals through the use of communications services and technology.
If your business is using the wrong telephone service plan or outdated telecommunications technology or telephone system hardware, you are throwing away money. Microtech-Tel has had the opportunity to consult with many small and medium sized businesses and we have found that the service plans with their long distance carrier, local phone service provider or cellular provider are left unmonitored–and in most cases, we find that the company is paying much more then they need to. If left unattended, you stand to lose thousands of dollars per year due to inefficiencies both from a cost and operations stand point. Your competitors who take the time to upgrade and maintain their telecommunications services and technology will enjoy a competitive advantage. To stay on top of this, Microtech-Tel can help you choose, implement and maintain telecommunications services, hardware and technologies designed to maximize your profits and operating efficiencies.
MicroTech-Tel offers a T1 line that meets all of the telecom needs for your business. You can have both voice and data from the same T1 line and save money. Not so much anymore. Palatable long distance rates have dissolved the barriers. Now a call to Country Code 672—Antarctica—is only .69 a minute—incredible when you consider that the iceberg continent doesn’t even have a permanent population but does have approximately 1000 inhabitants in winter and 5000 in summer. (Wait, isn’t it always winter in Antarctica?) The point is that companies like Microtech-Tel, a cutting edge data networking and telecommunications company headquartered in Denver, CO, has now got the rates for long distance calling down to under $1/minute for most points on the globe. The exception seems to be warring nations like Afghanistan (Country Code 93) where calls are $1.70/minute or remote getaways like Niue Island in the South Pacific where election tiebreakers are resolved by pulling a name out of a hat and long distance calls are $1.90/minute.
Interestingly the cost of making a long distance call isn’t so much a limitation in business these days as it is when it comes to leisure phone calls. Profile American released a report out of Washington, D.C. in December 2008 showing that Americans make more than 92 billion long distance calls a year.
