Telecom’s new high fiber diet

Compression nets gains
T-1s were originally 24 voice channels. Using voice compression, up to 10 voice calls can be compressed into a single standard T-1 64 kb/s voice connection. Multi-protocol switching is now allowing a single T-1 to transmit two full PBX lines and 1 Mb/s of data. Ask your Microtech-Tel sales rep about the media over which T-1 can be delivered.

Microtech-Tel introduces Dynamic T-1s
Dynamic T1s are newer technology offering more adaptability, agility and flexibility than ever before. The beauty of the Dynamic T-1 is that its bandwidth is allocated on-the-fly packet by packet, making optimum use of available bandwidth; that’s where it gets its “dynamic” moniker. Using a Dynamic T-1, the entire bandwidth is used for data transfer while there are no phone calls in progress. As soon as a handset is picked up, one channel of 64 Kbps is dedicated to that call and data bandwidth is reduced by 64 Kbps. This makes making optimum use of the available bandwidth at all times.
